Rock Band gets a little bit country

So...why is there no country music in Rock Band, anyway?

More pedantic readers might say, because it's not called Country Band, it's called Rock Band. Fortunately for country fans, developer Harmonix isn't so closed-minded, at least according to a blog post on the Country Music Television web site.

If you believe CMT -- and, let's face it, they ought to know -- Rock Band will be gaining five downloadable country music songs on December 16. They'll come from popular artists Bentley, Brad Paisley, Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert, and the Dixie Chicks.
