Reset Episode 5: R.Pad Strikes Back

Reset heads to Vegas for a bikini-filled adventure with Sony Online, then sits down for a chat about the controversial Hot Coffee topic.

Synopsis

Reset's wacky road trip continues in episode V. First up, Raymond hits Las Vegas for a bikini-filled adventure with Sony Online Entertainment. Don't worry -- it'll be models in bikinis, not Raymond. Then it's back to Austin for an in-depth look at Atari's thrilling adventure game, Indigo Prophecy. To wrap things up, two of the sharpest editors from Ziff Davis come to the studio to discuss all the bashing games have been receiving from politicians. Bikinis, the occult, and more, only on Reset!

Part One: The Quest for Antonia

Sony Online Entertainment recently held a modeling contest to find its latest spokesperson. From extremely tall and sexy ladies to cute as can be hometown girls to incredibly muscular women, SOE had contestants of all shapes and sizes. Raymond got to meet the finalists and watched the contest unfold as Queen Antonia was crowned.

Part Two: A Dark Prophecy

Graphic-adventure games have seemingly gone the way of the dodo. Atari aims to restore some luster to the genre with Indigo Prophecy. Mixing a uniquely accessible control scheme, a riveting story, occult overtones, and a thrilling mystery, this game just might bring the genre back in vogue. Raymond learns more about the game at Atari University in Austin.

Part Three: Politicians, Step Off!

Games have been a hot issue in politics ever since Rockstar Games "Hot Coffee" controversy in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Titles like Gettin' Up: Contents Under Pressure, 25 to Life, and even The Sims have come under fire. Electronic Gaming Monthly's Mark MacDonald and 1Up's Jane Pinckard come to Yahoo! Studios to discuss the issue.
