Struggling to find video games to play with your family? Look no further.

Not enough to keep you amused? Here are more of our favorite, family-appropriate video games.

Super Mario Galaxy (Nintendo)

Nintendo reinvented the platform game with Mario 64, and it's set to do it again with Galaxy. Designed by Shigeru Miyamoto, the mastermind behind many of Nintendo's most popular titles, Galaxy promises to bring one of gaming's most-loved moustaches up to date - and, as always, it'll be suitable for the whole family. Unless you're motion-sensitive: Mario's world features realistic gravity, allowing you to run around spherical objects. And he wears a bee suit. No me gusta!

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games (Sega)

Time was, every gaming platform on the market was home to a plethora of fun, accessible, button-mashing sports games. They fell out of fashion over the years, but are set for a comeback in 2007 - and with a partnership that would have been unthinkable just a few years ago. Both Mario and Sonic, in the same game? Heresy! Still, this Wii waggler - the first of two Sega-produced games based on next year's Beijing Olympic Games - promises to breathe new life into one of the most family-friendly genres around.

Zack & Wiki (Capcom)

If your crew has become jaded with the abundance of rushed Wii games with poorly thought-out controls, here's the antidote. Zack & Wiki is a cartoony puzzle game that uses the Wii remote's motion-capture system for most of its problems. If you're the type that enjoys cooperating with your family as you play, it'll be ideal: up to three additional players can join in, acting as advisors by pointing out useful objects or making helpful suggestions.

SimCity Societies (EA)

Are you put off by the tiresome infrastructure planning in conventional Sim City games? Do you just want to add subway systems without having to lay mile after mile of tedious tunnel? SimCity Societies dumps the more repetitive parts of this city-planning classic, and lets players focus on the design and development of your city's buildings and values. Or just set Godzilla loose on it. It's up to you.

Bee Movie Game (Activision)

Got a whole hive full of youngsters to keep amused? Try this tie-in with one of the season's biggest family films. Jerry Seinfeld, Patrick Warburton and Matthew Broderick all reprise their big-screen roles, and the game's visuals match the movie's animated look perfectly. There's even a selection of classic two-player arcade games to enjoy.
