Wii Sports Resort

Platforms: Wii
Release Date: July 26
Give that worn out copy of Wii Sports some much-needed rest by picking up the long-awaited sequel, Wii Sports Resort. Bundled with one Wii MotionPlus attachment, this sporty phenom boasts a dozen new games and significantly improved control.
Why It's Hot:
It's the sequel to the best-selling video game ever, for one thing. For another, every sport in the game has been built with the new Wii MotionPlus in mind. Whether you're aiming for the bull's-eye in Archery, volleying in Table Tennis, or knocking down threes in Basketball, you'll be surprised at the newfound accuracy. To call this a better version of Wii Sports is crazy. It's WAY better.
Why It's Not:
Got a fortune? You'll need it if you want to enjoy this with a crowd of friends. Since it requires the Wii MotionPlus attachment, you'll need to buy a new one for each Wii remote you intend to use with the game. At $19.99 a pop, that can get pricey fast.
Did You Know?
Apparently unafraid of tinkering with brand awareness, Nintendo considered calling the sequel Motor Sports and Leisure Sports before deciding on Wii Sports Resort.
