Set Up | Deck It Out | Learn To Play | Maximize Your Score | Modes | Song List | Downloads

Any true groupie will tell you not to leave the show until they bring up the house lights, because the best stuff happens when the normal set ends. In the case of Rock Band, your initial purchase is just the beginning.
Each week following release, the folks behind Rock Band will be releasing new downloadable tunes for the next-gen systems. In an unprecedented display of old-school dedication, full albums will also be made available, beginning with The Who's "Who's Next." Don't like one or two tracks on that Brit-rock classic? Then leave them on the server, because unlike the strict song pack format popularized by Guitar Hero (and somewhat loathed by gamers), every tune can be bought individually. It's your set list, after all.
The costs? According to Harmonix, the 'vast majority' of songs will cost $1.99, with some marked as low as $.99 and others busting your wallet at $2.99. Three-song packs will go for about $5.49, saving you about $.50. Overall, that's about as cheap as downloadable content gets.
Just recently released to the internets, here's a week by week look at the holiday download schedule:
