Reload! Cancel!

Ever have an opponent surprise you while in the middle of a reload? New in Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is the Reload Cancel. As long as you have at least one bullet left in your gun, moving forward or sideways and taping your Sprint button will cancel your reload so you can fire at will.

Tag 'em and bag 'em

In Story mode, tagging your enemies marks them with a red symbol above their head. Not only do your teammates focus their attention on them, you can also use the markers to know where the terrorists move even when they are behind a wall.

Fire in the Hole!

Try throwing your frag grenades and incendiaries at a wall or ceiling to bounce them into areas that are not in your line of sight. When playing online against other players, don't just leave your C4 lying on the ground where any fool can see it. Instead, try sticking it on exit signs, the ceiling, or any other location that is usually passive to the untrained eye. One exception: putting C4 just at the top of a set of stairs or a ladder is a great tactic, because most players normally look up when climbing.

Destroy the environment

Fire extinguishers, gas tanks and certain vehicles can be destroyed to your advantage. Try shooting at them or blowing them up with an explosive! Fire extinguishers create a smoke field; flip on your Thermal Vision and go to town.

Go Silent

Using your suppressor reduces damage but increases accuracy. Even so, with a single headshot you can take down any tango. So don't hesitate to use your suppressor in situations that require silent tactics. For example, it's the perfect way to infiltrate an area and take down one terrorist at a time without alerting other terrorists.

Just when you think you're safe

If you see an opponent taking cover behind a wooden object or thin object, try shooting them through it. In some areas, you could even shoot objects such as tables and shred them to bits, eliminating the cover completely.
