Week Of 2/16/09
By Mike Smith
Take a look down this week's release list and you can't fail to be impressed -- it's by far the best crop of new video games so far this year. The PS3, Xbox 360, and PC all bulge with high-profile, high-quality titles. In fact, the only platform that misses out on most of the love is the Wii, although that's bound to change in the coming weeks.
Top Three
Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned
Jonesing for a little more Grand Theft Auto? Yeah, us too. Fortunately, this week plays host to the very first downloadable content update for one of the biggest games of last year. The Lost and Damned sets players up as motorcycle gang leader Johnny Klebitz and bolsters GTA IV's already massive world with new single-player missions, new weapons, new vehicles, and the chance to see a new side of Liberty City. Don't miss it.
Street Fighter IV
Hadooken! The first proper Street Fighter game in a decade hits stores today, and if you're a fighting game fan, you're probably already in line. Featuring revamped graphics together with up-to-the-minute online play and downloadable content options, it's quite possibly the perfect marriage of old and new.
Warhammer 40k Dawn of War II
The follow-up to one of our favorite strategy games hits this week. Waaaaagh!
