How long could your kids go without games?

Could you take the 30-day challenge?

If they're anything like ours, about ten minutes. But that didn't stop British newspaper The Mirror from challenging a group of British youngsters to give up video games, TV, and surfing the Internet for 30 days.

You can read the kids' thoughts (and those of their parents) over on the Mirror's site.

So how do the youngsters fill their time? Long walks. Skateboarding. Jenga. Building dens. Playing the piano. Baking. Visiting relatives. Karate.

"We made up our own game of Harry Potter and made our own wands. My mum thought it was funny as we're normally in my room playing Harry Potter on the computer!" said one of the kids.

Another found a crafty solution to his boredom. "Me and Imogen made our costumes for a Halloween party. I'm going as death and Imogen made a vulture costume. My dad told me today is the last day without TV and I didn't even remember. It's been fun going without it."

Y'know, that sounds kinda nice. Except Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 comes out tomorrow, and next week's looking like the biggest release week of the whole year, and...maybe I'll do it in a week or two. Definitely sounds nice, though.
