Bizarre Wii game is controlled with a puppet

November 19 2:44 P.M.

We've dropped them into bowling balls, wedged them into boxing gloves and even turned them into free weights, but Wiiwaa might be the strangest use of a Wii remote yet.

To control the game, players cram a Wii remote inside a plush toy that look just like the game's oddball character, then simply bounce, twist and turn the poor guy to make the onscreen avatar move. Think Mario meets Being John Malkovich, but with fewer turtles.

Witness the insanity in this promo trailer:

Wiiwaa will apparently feature about a dozen mini-games, though players will also be tasked to "permanently look after the well-being of your Wiiwaa creature and make sure it is clean, well fed and gets enough sleep and recreation."

Don’t drop it on your Christmas wish list just yet, though: Wiiwaa creator Zoink Games is still looking for a publisher and has yet to announce a release date or price.
