Want to know what it's like inside Guantanamo Bay, but don't want to get arrested by the CIA? The Scottish makers of upcoming video game Rendition: Guantanamo, which sets players the task of escaping from the infamous facility, have tapped former Guantanamo inmate Moazzam Begg as an advisor.

Could you escape from here?
Begg, who was one of four British men released from Guantanamo Bay by President Bush in 2005, will star in the game, and has provided its developers with information about its layout. As one of its designers, Zarrar Chishti, told blog Deadline Scotland, "We approached Moazzam because it’s very hard for us to know how to design the layout of the prison and he helped." Begg is an alleged member of al-Qaida and is forbidden to travel outside the UK.
Set in 2020, Rendition: Guantanamo posits an unlikely future where the facility, after being closed by the U.S. government, is sold to mercenaries and becomes a base for conducting scientific experiments on unwilling prisoners. It's scheduled for release in October on Xbox 360 and PC -- assuming it manages to make it that far. The last game to try something like this, Six Days in Fallujah, was dropped by its publisher mere weeks after its announcement amid a storm of controversy.
