Stuck on Madagascar? Never fear: our tips and tricks will have you back in the air in no time.
1. Easy does it, Tiger
When playing golf, gentle swings are a lot more difficult than hard ones -- unless you let the power meter go through one complete cycle before you stop it. That way you'll be able to anticipate the sweet spot with ease. This doesn't work for other games with power meters -- like diving, for instance -- but it's essential if you want to get those scores down.
2. Monkeys, monkeys everywhere
Don't get too hung up on those monkey hunts. Although the targets can look intimidating, just keep tackling the levels in the order the game introduces them. You'll grab enough simians without even trying.
3. Collecting pineapples for Moto-Moto
As you work through the single-player levels, you'll reach the arena-based kart battle where you're collecting pineapples for Moto-Moto, and it can be a real sticking point. Defensive play is the key, because if you're caught out in the open even a strong lead can disappear. Hug the edge, and stay mobile: it'll help you nab those pineapples and avoid attacks.
4. Yes, durian really are that smelly
Escape 2 Africa makes much of the stinky properties of the durian fruit. Do not, under any circumstances, seek one out to discover if they really are all that bad. If anything, Madagascar underestimates the stench potential of this putrid perennial. Remember, kids: winners do not use durian.
