Ghostbusters Tips and Tricks

Is busting NOT making you feel good? Don't worry, we've got our own handy spirit guide here to give you some pointers when pummeling poltergeists. Check it out!

Make sure a ghost is down before you move on to the next one.

Zap 'em One at a Time

This may seem straightforward, but it's easy enough to be distracted by two or three ghosts at a time. You should always stay with your AI buddy and zap one ghost at a time, no matter how chaotic it gets. It's much better to have one weakened ghost than three half-weakened ones. If you're on the Wii, definitely recruit a friend to play split screen co-op so that you have a partner with a little more intelligence. It changes everything!

Keep your teammates healthy.

Be the Official Medic

You may be packing experimental weapons, but they're useless if the team isn't on their feet. Your first priority should ALWAYS be to run and revive your downed ghostbusters. While they're up, they're blasting away with perfect aim and can help bring you back, if an unlucky ghost takes you down. Think of them as valuable health kits... that can shoot.

The right gear is a key to success.

Upgrade to Pack a Punch

It's tempting to blow all your cash on frivolous upgrades, but trust us, you want to go for a higher damage output and a reduction on heat. The former means each blast you deliver is more powerful, and the latter means you can deliver more of them! Your proton pack is your primary weapon, so we advise maxing that out before anything else. The meson collider and stasis beams are less critical than even the slime blower, so look for that early too. Only upgrade the P.K.E. meter if you're a collector with money to burn.

Opt for the Slam Dunk!

If you've got the rhythm of the game down, then certainly look into the Fast Dunk upgrade for trapping ghosts quicker. Sure, you need to beat them down still, but nothing is quicker or more satisfying than slamming a ghost straight into an open trap. Besides, it gets you back into the fight that much sooner -- and the ladies love it.
