The man himself might be crippled by a knee injury, but his game is healthier than ever. The 09 edition of the industry-leading links game introduces a brand new Performance Coach system featuring Tiger's very own instructor, Hank Haney, along with a Club Tuner and, for the first time ever, simultaneous online matches.
Why It's Hot: It doesn't bear the name of the game's greatest star for nothing. With its solid gameplay, hordes of courses, and various swing options (including threatening your plasma screen by actually swinging the remote in the Wii version), there is truly no rival for the Tiger Woods games. Even if it hits a few traps, expect it to stay on top of the leaderboard.
Why It's Not: Ask Tiger how he manages to stay so sharp and he'll quickly point to the ever-growing list of challengers trying to chip away at his dominance. His game franchise, however, hasn't been challenged in years, and it's starting to show. Competition breeds innovation; despite a few new tweaks, this could wind up as just another dose of the same old swing.
