Bejeweled Twist
Watching an entire genre re-invent itself is a rare treat, but it's one Bejeweled fans were privileged to watch this year. Just two changes to the formula -- a focus on rotating clumps of blocks instead of swapping them, and being able to move without matching -- were enough to totally revitalize the oft-imitated Bejeweled formula instantly. Twist will hit mobile platforms next year, and who knows, maybe PopCap still has a trick or two to add to the desktop game. We can't wait to find out.
