Mystery Case Files: Return To Ravenhearst
We didn't have to look hard to find a winner. Part seek and find, part MYST and all kinds of innovative, MCF: Return to Ravenhearst took a bold step forward for the hidden-object genre by fully marrying it with tried-and-true adventure game elements. Great storytelling and some nice technical pops (the full-motion video pieces were a stroke of genius) helped turn what could have been just another object hunt into a smart, creative, and rewarding mystery game. A worthy return, indeed.
