Rock Band
Five out of five groupies agree -- you can't have a good party without great music, and no game delivered the tunes better in 2007 than Harmonix's thunderous Rock Band. Cranking the multiplayer fun to eleven, the peripheral-heavy game quickly took over living rooms -- and not just because it's a pain to break down the drum set. Once you throw a decent Rock Band party, you'll consider permanently rearranging the furniture to accommodate more; such is the power of the game's infectious co-operative gameplay. It's a hit at laid back shindigs since it doubles as a Karaoke machine, but it shines even brighter when you and a few friends create a band and start tackling the addictive World Tour mode. A unanimous winner on every voter's card, Rock Band isn't just the best party game of 2007 -- it might be the best party game of all time.
