Never an easy choice, picking the best games of 2007 proved even tougher than usual this year. All three next-gen consoles are hitting their strides, the PC had a banner year, and game sales are reaching new highs. We spent long hours balancing the merits of ground-breaking sports titles like Skate, stayed up late into the night mulling over unprecedented values like Orange Box, came to blows over the qualities of standout online hits like Halo 3, and started shouting matches over awesome shooters like Call of Duty 4.
