Why It's Hot:
Half-Life 2. Portal. Team Fortress 2. It's one of the Great Truths of video games: anything Left 4 Dead creator Valve makes is worth playing, and Left 4 Dead's co-op, undead-horde approach smells as fresh as a three-month-old zombie smells fetid.
Why It's Not:
Sadly, Left 4 Dead's Infected are more like the fast zombie maniacs from 28 Days Later, not George Romero's Dawn of the Dead shuffling menaces. But we'll do our best not to hold that against it.
