Why It's Hot:

Because you want to be. The first Wii Fit proved that gamers weren't content being labeled overweight and lethargic, and with all those holiday shindigs coming up, Wii Fit Plus couldn’t come at a better time. New additions like a calorie-burning counter and fully customizable workout regimens will help your waistline, too.

Why It's Not:

Let's talk economics. Wii Fit Plus contains 15 new balance games and 6 new strength training/Yoga poses, which is a fine deal for $20. But that's how much it costs if you don’t need a Wii Balance Board. If this is your starting point for Wii Fit, the bundled version is a not-so-friendly $100, which is not only pricey, but $10 more than the current Wii Fit/Balance Board bundle. We'd blame it on inflation, but isn't that what Wii Fit is supposed to help you manage?
