Up until Wii Sports came along, Super Mario Bros. was the best-selling video game of all time, ever. While we doubt that New Super Mario Bros. Wii will reach the same heights, it's still certain to be one of the biggest games of the year.

Why It's Hot:

Although Super Mario Bros. was strictly a one-player-at-a-time affair, New Super Mario Bros. Wii lets up to four players team up, simultaneously, to tackle its levels. And not just co-operatively, either, as players can sabotage one another in order to get ahead. Nice.

Why It's Not:

New Super Mario Bros. Wii's staid presentation isn't going to win many friends, and...ah, who are we kidding? This'll be the best game ever, and you know it.

Did You Know?

New Super Mario Bros. Wii will be the first game to feature Nintendo's new "demo play" tech. Get stuck, and you'll be able to hit a button, sit back, watch the game play itself, and then drop back in whenever you're ready. Expect to see this turning up in many future Nintendo titles.
