Nintendo Points
All of Nintendo's online purchases on both the Wii and the DSi are done with the same Nintendo Points. Nintendo is giving new DSi owners 1000 free points (worth $10) to start spending right away in their online Nintendo DSi Shop, which you access from your DSi via a wireless Internet connection. It's pretty easy to add more points while in the shop if you have a credit card, but if you've got kids an easier way is to buy Nintendo Points cards at places like Target, Best Buy, Walmart and Toys R Us.
