With the quest for the Final Four nearing and March Madness engulfing the nation, Seattle Supersonics shooting guard and outstanding NBA rookie Kevin Durant posted up for this exclusive interview. The former University of Texas standout and avid videogamer is EA Sports cover athlete for NCAA March Madness 08, which is out now on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 2. The 2007 AP National Player of the Year and number two pick in the NBA Draft talks about the evolution of the virtual college game, how popular videogames are in the NBA and who his picks are for the Final Four.

I just mainly played sports games and GTA. I just looked forward to coming home after doing my homework and playing games.
Yeah, I liked to play March Madness. At Christmas time I looked forward to getting that every year and also NBA Live.
It's very fun. Every year I used to create myself in the game and now I'm right there with all of the other NBA players.
I still can't believe it. To walk into the store and see your face on a videogame is pretty cool. I've been in stores where people see me and the game and it's the funniest thing. They do a double-take and look from the poster back to me and they're in awe. It's a blessing to be on the game and I'm very humbled by it and I'm glad they chose me.

I like that they took the post game and added it. It's nice just having the superior post presence that every great team has like UCLA with Kevin Love and Billy Dorsey. I also like the fact that now you can control the fourth player on offense and defense.

I want to say it's very, very popular. We play videogames a lot and I think we play games more than anybody out of state. I played a lot of videogames in college, but there was also class and other activities. I think since we have a lot of free time now, we try to play these games as much as possible.
I'm going to buy my son a PSP for Christmas and that's what I'm going to treat myself to. On long flights, sometimes you'll want to play a game so that's what I think I'm going to do.
